Yes! When watching YouTube Shorts, the extension automatically attaches a pop-out button and normalizes the playback so you can watch Shorts in a floating window with full scrubbing controls.
Why does the extension require the "tabs" and "storage" permissions?
The tabs permission is required to detect if the active tab is playing a YouTube video. The storage permission uses transient in-memory session storage to remember the open window ID so duplicate windows are prevented. We collect zero browsing history or personal data.
Can I resize and move the floating player window?
Yes, Chrome's Picture-in-Picture window is completely movable across multiple screens, can be placed anywhere on your desktop, and resized smoothly.
